HPR is seeking interested, enthusiastic volunteers to answer phones during our upcoming pledge drive.
What is a Hawaii Public Radio pledge drive, you may ask?
Pledge drives allow the station to raise money for day to day operations, to buy programming from NPR and other programming sources AND to produce the 92 hours of locally-originated news & cultural programming we air each week.
How does it work?
Over 300 volunteers from throughout the community regularly turn out to take pledges over the phone and interact with HPR supporters across the state & around the world.
Group shifts are scheduled Monday through Sunday between 6:00 AM to 12:00 AM, for 2-3 hours in group sizes that range from 4-12 people (depending on time of day).
What’s the Bonus for your group?
- Showcase your organization’s commitment to non-profit community public radio.
- Recognition – We will thank your organization multiple times over the air and throughout your shift.
- Experience a fun team building activity!
- Enjoy the excitement of being a part of live radio.
