On JAZZ WITH DON GORDON you will hear a myriad of jazz genres...from Brazilian to Straight Ahead...from Contemporary to Mainstream...Earth, Wind and Fire, Steely Dan, Yellowjackets, Fourplay, Latin, Cuban, Big Band and Vocals. Miles, Pres, Basie, Getz as well as Sanborn, Turrentine, Breckers, Eliane Elias and Jobim are also on his varied musical playlists. DON'S PICKS, on Friday is somewhat different when Don showcases four of the better new releases of the past few weeks.

ABOUT THE HOST:
Originally from Portland Maine, Don spent many years in broadcasting, publishing and public relations in New York, Los Angeles and other cities. In the 90's Don, always a passionate Jazz enthusiast, took to the airwaves with Jazz Progressions on KUNV, Las Vegas as well as becoming the host of the popular weekly JAZZ ON THE STRIP" series of live Jazz at The Riviera Hotel for the full 7 1/2 year run of the series. He came to Honolulu in 2002 and has entertained island Jazz fans with his unique style of Jazz presentation on HPR's KIPO/FM ever since.		Jazz with Don Gordon
