The sixties in Honolulu were punctuated with concerts by major music acts, and one of those groups -- ‘British Invasion’ icons The Yardbirds -- return to the islands for their first shows since a single date nearly fifty years ago. HPR’s Dave Lawrence spoke with original members’ drummer Jim McCarty, and bassist/guitarist Chris Dreja.

The Yardbirds play Hawaiian Brians in Honolulu tonight September 15, The MACC Friday September 16 in Kahului and the Honoka`a Peoples Theatre on Saturday September 17th in Honoka`a.
