Reggae is one of the most dominant musical influences in Hawai`i---and this weekend two of the biggest names in the field return to the state. Inner Circle and Ziggy Marley will be playing live… and both spoke with HPR. Dave Lawrence talked with Inner Circle’s Roger Lewis about his band’s first visit to the islands.
Inner Circle perform Friday at the Kona Bowl on the Big Island, and then join Ziggy Marley for two shows. They perform Saturday at Aloha Stadium and Sunday at the MACC in Kahului Maui. Get more on Inner Circle at their website, http://innercircle-reggae.com. Hear our full conversation with Roger below. We'll speak with Ziggy Marley tomorrow.
HPR-1 has been partially restored to O'ahu's North Shore and much of Kaua'i; we are working on an electrical problem at the Mt. Ka'ala site and once that's been resolved, repairs can be made to restore full HPR-1 signal strength. All other transmitters are operating normally.

Note on Hawaiian spellings:
In our print communications, HPR takes special care to include the ʻokina (glottal stop) and kahakō (macron) marks used in the proper spelling of Hawaiian words.
