At StoryCorps recording booths across the country, friends and loved ones interview each other about their lives. In the 1940's, Japanese Americans living in california were sent to live in internment camps. Now living on the island of Kauai, Delano Kawahara tells his daughter about a boyhood memory from an internment camp.

The Hawaii StoryCorps project is produced by Hawaii Public Radio with support from the Hawaii Council for Humanities.
