ShareThisA lawsuit was filed yesterday on behalf of six gay and lesbian couples seeking to overturn Governor Lingle's veto of the Civil Unions bill three weeks ago. Lamda Legal Senior Counsel Jennifer Pizer said the lawsuit is asking the First Circuit Court to grant legal status for same-sex couples.
Pizer emphasized the lawsuit is seeking a separate legal system that does not exist in Hawaii.
