New York musician Mark Rivera is Billy Joel’s longtime sax player, and, has worked with three of the four Beatles. As Music Director for Ringo Starr’s All Starr Band, he wraps up our All Things Considered interview series ahead of their Asia Pacific tour, and began by sharing with HPR's Dave Lawrence his experience working for John Lennon.

HPR-1 has been partially restored to O'ahu's North Shore and much of Kaua'i; we are working on an electrical problem at the Mt. Ka'ala site and once that's been resolved, repairs can be made to restore full HPR-1 signal strength. All other transmitters are operating normally.
