Recently Boom Gaspar, the Pearl Jam keyboardist born and raised in Hawai`i, released the first taste of side-project Po & the 4Fathers, via a 7" single on Record Store Day. He and band-members Kawai Hoe and Kiliona Young spoke to HPR’s Dave Lawrence about their upcoming debut release.
Po & the 4Fathers can be found on Facebook, and look for an official website soon. Their first two songs include special guests from Pearl Jam: Eddie Vedder sings back-up vocals on "Kingdom Come" and Stone Gossard plays guitar on "Do Ya". See and hear the complete interview with Boom Gaspar, Kiliona Young and Kawai Hoe from Record Store Day at Hungry Ear Records below.
HPR-1 is operating at reduced power for the North Shore and Kaua'i; the transmitter is at the factory for repair. All other transmitters are operating normally.
