Papahanaumokuakea, Live, at the Waikiki Aquarium

ShareThisThe oldest islands in the Hawaiian chain stretch northward spanning an area three times greater than the main inhabited islands. Low atolls and the tips of undersea pinnacles dot the expanse where more than 90% of Hawai’i’s green sea turtles breed and nest. HPR’s Noe Tanigawa found a window into the Papahanaumokuakea Marine Reserve right in Waikiki. The new Papahanaumokuakea exhibit of marine life in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands is on view now at the Waikiki Aquarium.
