More Power for More Trash

The taxpayers of the city and county of Honolulu are now the owners of three incinerators turning the island’s trash into energy. The Kapolei plant is completing expansion of a new third boiler and HECO has agreed to purchase the energy for a rate lower than the cost of oil.

KKUA 90.7 Maui is operating at half-power; 88.3 Hana is operating at low power due to a faulty antenna; a new antenna has been ordered. All other transmitters are operating normally.
