The Artists of Hawai’i show at the Honolulu Academy of Arts is unique this year because of the juror’s history. Michael Rooks served with distinction as a curator for both the Contemporary Museum and the Academy before moving to New York, then his present position in Atlanta. HPR’s Noe Tanigawa was at last week’s opening.
