Matisyahu is that Hasidic Jewish reggae artist from New York you may have seen or heard over the last several years. Tremendously popular around the world, and here in the islands, he’s returning for a pair of shows tomorrow and Sunday in Hawai`i. Ahead of the dates, HPR’s Dave Lawrence got a call from him.
Matisyahu performs tomorrow at Kaka`ako Waterfront Park in Honolulu and Sunday at the MACC in Kahului with Steel Pulse & Matisyahu. Saturday June 11th in Honolulu features Steel Pulse, Matisyahu, Rebelution, The Dirty Heads, The Green, & The Throwdowns at Kaka’ako Beach Park Amphitheater; June 12th in Kahului is with Steel Pulse, Matisyahu, Rebelution, The Dirty Heads & The Green at the MACC; and June 13th on Kaua`i with Rebelution at Kilohana Pavilion.
