Lukas Nelson is an artist with strong Hawai`i connections. He’s the son of Willie Nelson, who has been part of the Maui community since the 1970’s, and is now touring the mainland with his own band, Promise of the Real. He told HPR’s Dave Lawrence about his life of travels and special connections.
Lukas Nelson's latest album with his band Promise Of The Real is "Wasted" and you can stream it online at his website, promiseofthereal.com, where you can also learn more about his music and his contribution to his father Willie Nelson's latest album, Heroes.
North Shore O'ahu transmitters and Kaua'i transmitters are off air due to a power outage as a result of the extreme weather. HECO hopes to re-establish power sometime Thursday, weather permitting. All other transmitters are operating normally.
