ShareThisGuitar legend Larry Carlton is heading to the islands for three shows. He spoke with HPR’s Dave Lawrence from Tokyo, in the midst of an epic run of dates promoting his new album with Japanese icon Tak Matsumoto. The Larry Carlton Trio performs Friday Sept. 24 at the MACC in Kahului Maui, Saturday Sept. 25 at the 3rd annual Manoa Jazz and Heritage Festival at UH’s Andrews Amphitheatre (with Robert Shinoda, the Punahou Jazz Band, and others), and Sunday Sept. 26 at UH Hilo.
