ShareThisMany O’ahu residents consider Kailua’s annual 4th of July celebration the highlight of the year. There’s a community parade in the morning, then the fireworks at night are a tradition dating back even before the first stoplight. HPR’s Noe Tanigawa reports on fundraising for what is usually a spectacular fireworks display. The Kailua 4th of July parade starts at 10am down Kainalu Avenue to Kailua Intermediate.
