Legendary jazz musician Eddie Palmieri is back in the islands. The pianist played UH Hilo last night, before hitting Maui tonight and the Manoa Jazz and Heritage Festival tomorrow. The nine-time Grammy Award winner told HPR’s Dave Lawrence about the tour, and some of his most treasured possessions.

HPR-1 has been partially restored to O'ahu's North Shore and much of Kaua'i; we are working on an electrical problem at the Mt. Ka'ala site and once that's been resolved, repairs can be made to restore full HPR-1 signal strength. All other transmitters are operating normally.
