Jazz in Kaka'ako with Bruce Hamada and Jim Howard

ShareThisGreat live music has restorative power, and sometimes, it’s convenient and affordable too. HPR’s Noe Tanigawa offers this visit to an evening of jazz in Kaka’ako. Bassist, singer, Bruce Hamada and pianist Jim Howard play jazz every Tuesday night from 8 to 11pm at Fresh Café on Queen Street. The night I went with a passel of gals, we got great seats and the sound is remarkably good. Bagels and salads are currently offered with your wine or beer but expanded food service is expected in February. Wifi and good coffee make it a comfy spot to hang out anytime of day but it's like being in your living room with great musicians when Hamada and Howard are there.
