The Honolulu Theatre for Youth is riding a wave of blockbuster shows fueled by a farsighted idea of blending Asian and Western theatre.  HPR’s Noe Tanigawa spoke with Alvin Chan, the playwright behind “The Five Chinese Brothers”, now on stage at Tenney Theatre.

The Honolulu Theatre for Youth’s “Five Chinese Brothers” continues on Saturdays only through September 29^th at Tenney Theatre.  Neighbor Island performances are also scheduled:
