The city is looking for new housing for the homeless in existing buildings around urban Honolulu. The idea is to provide a “Housing First” alternative to some of the city’s chronically homeless. To make it work, they’ll need buildings they can buy, a non-profit to step up as the manager, and a welcoming neighborhood.
