Maui’s real estate market has been sluggish to flat, according to figures released yesterday by the Realtors Association of Maui. Even so, for the first nine months of this year, real estate sales totaled more than a billion dollars. Ron Youngblood has that story and more from The Maui News.

A majority of the Maui Charter Commission is in favor of injecting new blood into the County Council. It advanced a proposal to limit council members to three, 4-year terms.

The owner of an aggressive pit bull pleaded guilty Tuesday to a dog bite charge. Nadia Toraman will pay a $100 fine and restitution.
