Hawai'i Opera Theatre Presents "Dialogues of the Carmelites"

Hawai’i Opera Theatre is preparing the Hawai’i premiere of Francis Poulenc’s “Dialogues of the Carmelites”.  Based on a true story set in the Reign of Terror after the French Revolution, this opera is known for its emotional impact.  HPR’s Noe Tanigawa reports.

Hawai’i Opera Theatre’s “Dialogues of the Carmelites” opens February 15th at the NBC Concert Hall, with additional performances February 17th and 19th.   HOT will present an Opera Preview at the Honolulu Museum of Art on February 6, 10am.  There will be another preview at the HOT rehearsal hall 1pm, February 9th.   Colorful and informative lectures are presented on the Ewa lanai of the concert hall before each performance.  For tickets or to request a preview for your organization, call HOT at 596-7372 or check http://www.hawaiiopera.org/
