With the holiday season upon
us, many families in Hawaii have already begun shopping for Christmas
trees. The first round of trees went on
sale last weekend. Richard Tajiri has
been selling trees for 35 years and has set up shop in the Ala Moana Parking
Lot. He spends most of the year in
Oregon, tagging the best trees to bring back to Hawaii...just in time for the
holidays.
Also selling trees this year
is Helemano Farms, a newer spot in Wahiawa that promises a freshly cut
tree...grown right here in Hawaii. Aaron
O'Brien is the owner of Helemano Farms, and wants to bring the tradition of
locally grown trees to Hawaii.
