Lily Wu was a smart, sophisticated, Chinese American detective who solved crimes in Honolulu and New York in a series of novels written by Juanita Sheridan in the 1940’s and 50’s. Local filmmaker Robin Lung wondered who the character was based on and came across a true mystery along the way. HPR’s Noe Tanigawa reports.
