EWC Gallery Displays Rarely Seen Treasures
ShareThisThe East West Center's five original buildings were designed by the celebrated architect, I.M. Pei, laying a firm aesthetic foundation for the future. The Center's Japanese garden, a gift from Japanese businessmen, is an example of how the Center's artistic holdings have expanded over the years. As parf of its 50th anniversary celebration, HPR's Noe Tanigawa offers a tour of selected treasures from the East West Center collection.
"East West Treasures: Selected Works from the Permanent Collection" continues at the East West Center Gallery through October 3rd. This Sunday, July 11th, Jeannette "Benji" Bennington presents an illustrated talk on the Center's collection. Check arts.eastwestcenter.org for images and information on other special events.
