Ethel Quartet: Riding Hard Into The Post-Classical Future

ShareThisEthel has been called “America’s most daring string quartet.” Classically trained, these Juilliard graduates have collaborated with artists from Cheryl Crow and David Byrne to Yoyo Ma. HPR’s Noe Tanigawa spoke with their violist as he prepares to bring their invigorating brand of post-classical music to Hawai’i. Punahou School is inviting the public to a free, interactive performance by ETHEL, featuring the art of musical improvisation. The performance will be held Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, from 5 – 6:30 p.m. at Wo International Center’s Luke Lecture Hall on the Punahou School campus. Campus parking is available.
