What's eating Hawaii? Not enough to go around...

Larry Yee  is the Co-founder and Coordinating Director for the Food Commons.  The national project is working on a new economic model and whole systems approach for regional food.  He is also on the board of the Association of Family Farms, on the Los Angeles Food Policy Council and is co-chair of the Economic Development Working Group.  Mr. Yee is in Hawaii for the 2012  Agricultural conference.

Erwin Legaspi is the Director of UH-Manoa's GEAR UP Waipahu.

Michael Deem PhD is the John W. Cox Professor in Bioengineering and Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Rice University. He's in Honolulu as a Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar. The program is now in its 57th year and annually sends about a dozen distinguished scholars to other colleges and universities with chapters of Phi Beta Kappa.
