New senate skills for Pacific Overtures 

Ralph Cossa is president of the Pacific Forum CSIS, a nonprofit, private, foreign policy research institute founded in 1975 and based in Honolulu. It operates as the Asia Pacific arm of the Center for Strategic and International Studies of Washington, D.C. . Mr. Cossa is a board member of the Council on U.S.-Korean Security Studies and the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations and has been focusing on what the next junior senator must know about the American “Re-Balance”, North Korea, flash points in the South China Sea, and other security, foreign policy, and business-related issues.
