Stuart Scott is president of Transition University. The educational group teaches practical skills in everything from farming to green tech. Transition U is an outgrowth of the global Transition Movement to help communities meet modern energy, food, and social challenges with personal self-reliance and community resilience.  He claims his greatest asset is his inability to understand the meaning of ‘no’.

Debora Halbert has spent two decades climbing rocks across the United States and around the world. Until Mokuleia was closed by the DLNR she climbed weekly. In her professional life she's an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Hawaii where she teaches Constitutional Law, Public Policy, Technology Law & policy, and Futures Studies.  She has published two books on copyright law in politics and culture. Her third book will be out soon. Her profession and favorite sport converged  in the writing of SB1168 now headed to the House.
