Transition U is an outgrowth of the global Transition Movement to help communities meet modern energy, food, and social challenges with personal self-reliance and community resilience. In her professional life she's an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Hawaii where she teaches Constitutional Law, Public Policy, Technology Law & policy, and Futures Studies. She has published two books on copyright law in politics and culture. Her third book will be out soon. Her profession and favorite sport converged in the writing of SB1168 now headed to the House.
