From TFA to the DOE to a JD - a teacher practices education policy
Zach DiIonno is a former special education teacher. He came to Hawaii through Teach for America and worked for three years at Ilima Middle School in Ewa Beach. When he lost his job, he went to law school to study education policy. He graduates from the William S. Richardson School of Law in May.
Sheryl Lynch is an Adult Services Librarian at Kapolei Public Library. The traveling exhibit Civil War 150 will be there from January 28th to February 9th.
Still alive in the state capitol…Technisaurus Obseletus
Dennis Hollier is a Senior Writer at Hawaii Business Magazine. He's won awards for stories on diverse subjects including aging infrastructure, toxic waste, and how HTA markets Hawaii to the rest of the world. Writing is actually his third career. He spent 28 years as a hotel manager and a trade association executive on the East Coast.
Dr. Busaba Yip will present "the History of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen on Maui" at Lahaina Library on Saturday, January 5th at 1:30 pm in the Children's Section.
