Now that the April 1st deadline to submit your 2010 U.S. Census form has passed, the Census Bureau is verifying addresses and survey information. Local representatives say they expect to hear from 98% of Hawaii households, that's up from 64% in 2000. That low participation rate resulted in Hawaii missing out on more than $300-million dollars over the last decade. But as HPR's Wayne Yoshioka reports... the language in the form used to count Hawaii residents is far from perfect.
