Historians say the first celebration of Christmas in Hawaii was in 1786, when the crew of the British ship Queen Charlotte had a holiday feast off the coast of Kauai. In more recent times, celebrations have included a series of parades and festivals, including some special ones on Hawaii Island. From Kona, HPR’s Sherry Bracken tells us about some events taking place Saturday.
