This week, Hawaii lawmakers approved more than $11.5 million for various social programs in the state. When it comes to turning that money into community help, social workers will play a critical role. On the other side of the Pacific, China’s government has just announced it plans to vastly increase the number of social workers in the country. HPR’s Bill Dorman has more in today’s Asia Minute.
