Aaron Copland’s Appalachian Spring is one of America’s iconic pieces of music. Originally it was a ballet score designed for chamber orchestra. HPR’s Noe Tanigawa found that a new collaboration is breathing fresh life into the ballet.
Chamber Music Hawai’I presents Prokofiev, Strauss, and a new interpretation of Copland’s Appalachian Spring by the Onium Ballet Project. There will be one performance only, this Saturday night, February 26, at Paliku Theatre on the Windward Community College campus. For tickets and information check www.chambermusichawaii.com
