An unsual brave collaboration between two ancient dance traditions brings out the creative impulse in two major dancers -- kumu hula Vicky Holt Takamine and "student" Anita Vallabh. Vicky is an expert in hula and holds a very special place in Hawaii's arts community. Anita, coming to UH/Manoa as a Watumull Visiting Scholar, completely imbued in the traditions of Bharatanatyam.
