Each year across the country, over 48 million surgeries are performed in the hospital, not counting those done in independent surgical centers. There is one kind of doctor that helps to make this happen, and yet you might never meet them. However, without their help, there would be a lot more pain during the procedure. Anesthesiologists are the unsung heros in the operating room, keeping people alive and well, but asleep while they have their surgeries completed. Dr. Travis Lau, anesthesiologist will join us in the studio to tell us more.
