The 2010 Na Hoku Hanohano Awards, Hawaii's version of the Grammys, were handed out last night in the Hawaii Convention Center. Maui's Uluwehi Guerrero came away with two trophies for his release "Uluwehi Sings Na Mele Hula Aloha," including Hawaiian Album of the Year and Best Liner Notes. HPR's Derrick Malama recently spoke with the Kumu Hula about the creative process that went into putting together his album of mostly falsetto music.
