APEC Minute: Russia, Hawaii Ties Date to 1800s

Many of the APEC economies represented in Honolulu this week have long-standing ties with Hawaii. The first Russian contact with Hawaii dates to 1804, when sailors traded sea otter pelts for food and other provisions. Today, international trade is quite different—and so are both places. We start the final week of our APEC profiles with a closer look at Russia. HPR’s Bill Dorman reports.
