Tonight October 19th, at UH Hilo, Dr. Brian Schmidt, 2011 Nobel Laureate in Physics, – will speak on the Accelerating Universe… This discovery, of what is called “dark energy,” led to Dr. Schmidt’s 2011 Nobel Prize in Physics, for a remarkable discovery that the Universe is accelerating as it expands. He spoke with HPR’s Dave Lawrence.

Dr. Brian Schmidt is one of three people awarded this prize, and he will speak at UH Hilo, Campus Center October 19, 2011 at 7pm.
