Hawaii County citizens voted for a new county prosecutor for
the first time in 20 years last November. The new prosecutor has been on the
job for nearly three months now -- and spoke to HPR's Sherry Bracken about some
of his biggest challenges.
The University of Hawaii at Hilo's College of Pharmacy is
the only pharmacy school in the Pacific Rim. It's come a long way since
its creation less than 10 years ago. But it's now facing a major
challenge that could jeopardize its future. HPR's Sherry Bracken talked
with the Dean to get the latest.

It's been nearly four months since the Keauhou Beach
Hotel closed its doors on the west side of the Big Island. Kamehameha Schools owns the historic
property..and is planning what comes next.
