Court Rejects State's Reapportionment Plan

Hawaii’s Supreme Court has thrown out the state’s 2011 reapportionment plan. The court says nonresident military and dependents and nonresident students should not be included in the count. From the Big Island, HPR’s Sherry Bracken has details.

UH Hilo to Use State Funds for Housing

Governor Abercrombie started out the new year by releasing $67 million in funding for capital improvement projects statewide. Hawaii Island will get a good chunk of that money for student housing at University of Hawaii at Hilo. HPR's Sherry Bracken has more.

Remembering 'Whitey' Rose
