This weekend reggae legends Steel Pulse are back in the islands as part of the BAMP Project’s second annual Republik Music Festival. Ahead of the show, HPR's Dave Lawrence spoke with front man David Hinds, who explained how the group has recently performed in Haiti and are helping recovery efforts there.
Kenny Loggins has had a special place in the islands for decades. This weekend he returns to the state for a pair of shows, including with the Hawai`i Symphony Pops. He told HPR’s Dave Lawrence that for him, being a musician was something almost meant to be.
