This coming week brings another series of events across the state to raise money for victims of last month's earthquake and tsunami in Japan. A number of countries around Asia are also putting together various programs to help those in need in Japan. HPR's Bill Dorman has more in today's Asia Minute.

Unhealthy Arsenic Levels At Former Sugar Mill Site

State scientists recently discovered arsenic on the site of a former Kaua`i sugar mill where homes have been built. The Department of health is holding a public meeting tonight in Kilauea to talk to residents about soil contamination. HPR's Bill Dorman reports.

 

Tonight's meeting begins at 6:30 at the Kilauea School Cafeteria.
